The practical problem

Tender documents distribute BIM obligations across specifications, schedules, appendices and information requirements. A delivery team may price the obvious model work while missing a short clause that changes format, frequency or responsibility.

A better review sequence

Start with every reference to models, information exchanges, standards, responsibility and stage gates. Then trace each requirement back to an owner, deliverable and allowance. Anything that cannot be assigned clearly is a tender clarification, not an assumption.

The commercial point

The cost usually appears after appointment, when the team has fewer options. Finding the clause early is not document administration. It is delivery and commercial risk control.
